Did your newer vehicle not come with a CD player? That is happening a lot! This 2016 Chevy Colorado didn’t have a CD player and the client wanted to add one.
Harry, a Corry, PA, resident and first-time ENORMIS Mobile Specialties customer, called the store inquiring about adding a CD player to his 2016 Chevy Colorado that he just purchased. This truck was actually loaded already. It had an 8-inch touchscreen radio, navigation, leather-wrapped heated seats, etc. — but no CD player.
Harry just wanted to play his extensive CD collection in his truck. The selling car dealer told him to call ENORMIS because “those guys will have a solution.” Harry called and spoke with Doug Reichert, our integration specialist, who explained that there was a solution: a CD player that would transfer data from a CD and send data through the USB connection. The add-on CD player would mount in his center console and be controlled through the existing radio controls on the dash and the steering wheel.
Doug further explained that this CD player takes about 30 seconds to transfer the data from CD to .Wav format. Simply load the CD into the player, wait about 30 seconds and the CD will start playing.
MECP-certified technician Art Dougan completed the installation. After the installation, Doug demonstrated the CD player for Harry, using several CDs that Harry had brought with him.
