Did you know that a 2017 Mercedes GLE350 with halogen headlights can have very poor performance? Not only that, Mercedes did not include any aux lights or fog lights to supplement the poor headlights.
This client was concerned about driving at night. He felt very unsafe. We were willing to help. For many reasons, we at ENORMIS do not believe in altering the factory headlights and blinding oncoming drivers with modified headlights that were designed for halogen bulbs. We do believe in adding high-quality Rigid Industries Aux lighting and installing these lights within Pennsylvania state requirements.
Why Rigid Industries? At the date of this writing, we have not found any other products that can take the abuse of water, salt, road debris and bugs hitting vehicles at 60+ miles an hour. Not only are their products built extremely well, they perform like no other automotive lights on the market.
The install on this Mercedes looks simple, but required disassembly of the whole front bumper cover and grille assembly. We mounted the lights securely and ran the wiring and re-installed the bumper assembly. Mercedes does not make it easy: This entire installation took a full day, along with some evening adjustments.
These lights come on automatically with the parking lights and will shut off automatically if the high beams are used (as required by state law). We placed a small switch under the steering column to deactivate these lights.
These lights are easily adjustable with an 11 mm socket/wrench from the exterior of the vehicle if someone wants to re-aim them.
