Jerry of Meadville, PA, recently purchased a red 2006 Corvette. This was his first Corvette. So, he was very cautious about seeing clearly when in reverse. But, there was more. So, He stopped by ENORMIS and spoke with Tony Horton. Tony gave Jerry some options for a 2006 Corvette backup camera. In that conversation, Tony discovered that Jerry also wanted hands-free phone conversations and to play music from his iPhone. The perfect solution? A Kenwood Bluetooth-enabled touchscreen radio and a rear backup camera.
2006 Corvette Backup Camera gets an MECP Installation
Since Jerry was from Meadville, Tony scheduled an early morning appointment. This way, Jerry could enjoy breakfast down the street while ENORMIS performed the installation. Once the car arrived, we passed the installation duties on to Ken Whiteman, Ken is one of our MECP-certified technicians.
Ken was ready with the proper installation parts and wiring. That way he could integrate the Kenwood properly into the Corvette dash. Without an issue, he mounted the Kenwood touchscreen into the dash. Not only that, but he connected it to the complex electrical system . Then, he mounted the Bluetooth microphone above the rearview mirror. That way, it would pick up speech clearly over the purr of the motor. In the end, Ken completed the installation in about three hours.
Backing up will now be much easier! Especially since Tony also adjusted the camera guidelines for the best viewing.
Even though this is Jerry’s summer fun vehicle, he had an alternate reason for his purchase. In more detail, he intends to lend the Corvette to his grandson for high school graduation night. The grandson will have a cool car for the evening! But he can also play music from his phone, safely talk hands-free and back up safely.
