A New York State resident and first-time ENORMIS Mobile Specialties customer installed 2018 Silverado accessory tow mirrors on his 2014 Silverado. Jeff was able to mount and plug in the 2018 mirrors himself, but he could not get the lights to work. He was referred to ENORMIS by a local collision shop in the Harborcreek, PA, area. Jeff wanted the white LED work lights in the mirror to come on when the truck was in reverse and also wanted the amber parking lights to function.
Jeff uses the truck for snowplowing and thought that having the LED work lights on when in reverse would help illuminate his reverse path. MECP-certified technician Ken Whiteman was able to wire the mirrors for both of the desired functions by modifying the wire harnessing and programming the truck’s computer. Ken had it done in about 4 hours.
