A local vehicle resale center had a customer interested in purchasing a 2016 Chevy Cruze. The “customer” was Doreen. She insisted that the vehicle have heated seats! Luckily, the 2016 Chevy Cruze already had a Chevy factory remote start. But, Doreen really liked the heated seats that were in her husband’s vehicle. In fact, her husband had heated seats installed in his vehicle by ENORMIS Mobile Specialties.
So, Justin from the resale center called the store and spoke with our Integration Specialist Doug Reichert. Then, Justin asked if heated seats could be added to the vehicle. But more importantly, could they be hooked up to the existing remote start? Because, that way the seats could be pre-heated. Doug said “sure we can” to both questions. Once Doreen knew that she could have ENORMIS heated seats, the deal was done with the resale center!
Chevy Cruze Heated Seats get an MECP Installation
Doreen picked the vehicle up and dropped it off at the store for the installation. MECP certified technician Art Dougan was assigned the installation on the 2016 Chevy Cruze. Art chose a switch dial mounting position under the existing heater controls. But these are easily accessible to both the driver and passenger. Next was to install the heating elements and heated seat control modules. Not only that, Art wired the heated seats to turn on with the factory remote start. Finally, Art completed the reassembly. Ultimately, the vehicle was returned to Doreen that same afternoon for her to enjoy her ENORMIS heated seats with matching knobs!
