Back in 2009, Blake was looking for a holiday present for his wife Dara to enhance her 2009 Honda Accord. Blake called the store and arranged for ENORMIS to ship him the remotes for a remote start for his wife as a surprise gift. Since then, ENORMIS has done multiple remote starts, cruise controls and other vehicle upgrades for these Rimersburg, PA, clients.
This year, Dara called the store and spoke with Doug Reichert about a remote start for Blake’s 2016 Infiniti QX70. She said Blake really liked his previous remote start with two-way confirmation.
Doug made a recommendation for the new vehicle. The QX70 a is a great match with our Factory Start v5. We were able to use a vehicle-specific custom Infiniti/Nissan wire harnesses on this vehicle. This allows Blake to push the lock button three times on the Infiniti key fob and … vroooom! The Infiniti will start up.
However, the range with Infiniti remotes is only about 100 feet, so we paired some 6/10 mile range two-way confirming Ataqan remotes to give Blake the distance and two-way feedback he desired for remote starting the vehicle at work.
Doug mailed the remotes to Dara at her office. It was a great surprise! Later, Blake and Dara dropped off the Infiniti at ENORMIS so we could work on it while they were visiting family in Erie.
MECP-certified technician Ken Whiteman performed the high-quality installation. With this vehicle-specific remote start, Blake can simply walk up to the vehicle after remote starting it, press the unlock button on the smart key or the driver door handle, enter the vehicle, and drive away (no engine shutdown). When Blake and Dara picked up the vehicle, Doug demonstrated all the features of the remote start, and had them back on the road for Rimersburg, PA, that afternoon.
