Donna, a Morris, PA, resident and repeat ENORMIS Mobile Specialties client, wanted a remote start for her 2017 Volkswagen Touareg: Wolfsburg Edition.
Donna wanted a remote start that she could use from very long range. After speaking with Donna, our Integration Specialist Doug Reichert researched the 2017 Touareg, and found Donna the perfect remote start for her vehicle: a VW/Audi-specific remote start that would allow Donna to start the vehicle short-range using her factory VW remotes and long-range through the Smartphone DroneMobile App. An added bonus was that the VW-specific remote start equipment would not require Donna to give up a key to be installed with the remote start.
Doug and Donna discussed all the specifics and picked a day for the installation. Doug spoke with Donna the night before and confirmed the appointment, which allowed MECP-certified Art Dougan to start “prepping” the remote start for Donna’s arrival the next day.
Donna arrived and made herself comfortable in our waiting room while Art performed the installation. During her wait, Doug helped Donna download the DroneMobile App onto her iPhone and iPad. Once the installation was complete and the vehicle thoroughly checked, Doug registered Donna with DroneMobile and demonstrated the remote start to her.
The Volkswagen allows you to pre-select the heater controls for remote start, so Donna can set her heated seats on high, and tell the front and rear defrost when to come on and at what temperature. Donna’s vehicle was completed later in the afternoon, giving her plenty of time to get back home. Donna, we thank you for making the trip to see us here in Erie, PA!
