The customer was in the dealership and ready to sign the paperwork, but stopped short to ask, “This vehicle has factory GM navigation, right?” “Ummmm, let’s check on that.” And that was a nope.
A Warren, PA, Chevy dealership called the Automotive Electrical Experts at ENORMIS and inquired about adding the Chevy MyLink Navigation to the customer’s 2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 edition.
The truck was loaded with heated seats, a backup camera, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but the customer wanted navigation at his fingertips, not the navigation through his phone. Dave from the dealership called and spoke with Doug Reichert, our integration specialist, about possibly adding the MyLink Navigation to the truck. Doug said, “Sure we can, Dave. Let me get you a price and call you right back.” Within 15 minutes, the dealership had the price and the deal for the truck was done.
ENORMIS was able to add and program the genuine Chevy MyLink Navigation, which functions exactly like it would from the factory. The navigation comes with the latest map updates, which will allow the customer to view all the newest points of interest in the area when on a road trip, including shopping, dining, gas stations and repair facilities. The navigation also uses the ONSTAR system for the latest traffic updates, including accidents and construction delays. Included with the navigation upgrade was voice command compatibility from the steering wheel and heads-up turn-by-turn directions in the gauge cluster.
