Bill, a West Erie resident, was looking to add a remote start to his just-purchased 2019 Dodge Durango. He sent an email through our online request form and quickly received a response from our integration specialist Doug Reichert. In the email, Doug explained the differences in remote start features and installations. He talked about distance, two-way or one-way response, and the ENORMIS vehicle-specific remote starts.
Bill chose our Factory Start v5 with the optional two-wayy .6-mile range remotes, which feature up 3,000 feet of range; two-way confirmation; and a small, convenient remote.
Bill and Doug arranged to drop the vehicle at ENORMIS for a morning appointment. MECP-certified technician Art Dougan performed the installation. He installed the vehicle-specific remote start module and harness, and then paired the long-range transmitters to the remote start.
When Bill picked up the vehicle later that afternoon, Doug demonstrated all the features of the two-way remote start and takeover function.
