Remote Start for Acura MDX is suggested
Tom’s email inquiry was quickly answered by our Integration Specialist Doug Reichert. Doug recommended the the Factory Start v6x. This remote start is engineered specifically for the Acura MDX. Doug explained that his wife could use her existing Smartphone to simply start the Acura from anywhere inside the hospital! But, what if she forgot to lock the doors once she was in the hospital? No problem! She would just take out her phone and press the lock button on the app! Not only that, but she would also have the ability to remote start the vehicle with her Acura remote control. Ya see, she would just *hit the lock button 3 times to cause the engine to start! *(She must be within 100ft) That means, short range remote starting from the Acura’s existing key fob and unlimited range from the smartphone app!
Acura Engine Stays Running after door is opened
This 2017 Acura MDX is a push to start vehicle. So, Doug explained to Tom the takeover feature that is exclusive to this remote start. Takeover what? Takeover is a term used to explain a procedure. The procedure is, how do you drive the vehicle away once it has been remote started? Once the Acura MDX has been remote started Tom or his wife can **simply walk up to the vehicle, unlock the doors, enter the vehicle, and drive away! Any other remote start installed into the MDX would shut down. Because, once the door was opened, Acura would turn the engine off. In that case, Tom’s wife would have to restart the vehicle with the Acura pushbutton on the dash. But, not with this ENORMIS remote start! **(Only the owner can drive away a remote started Acura MDX)
Remote Start installation goes forward
Tom was all in after Doug’s email. Doug and Tom decided on an installation prior to the Christmas holiday. On his way to work, Tom dropped the vehicle off at the store. MECP certified technician Art Dougan was assigned the installation and was able to return the vehicle back to Tom around lunchtime. Tom left work a little early and picked up his wife. He didn’t spoil the surprise until pulling into our parking lot. Tom and his wife arrived at the store. So, Doug helped them to register the DroneMobile smartphone app and fully demonstrated the Remote Start features!
