Today’s lifestyles can be very hectic, especially if you are an on-the-go person. Sometimes, even a small convenience can make your life so much easier. Being able to pull into your driveway and to open the garage door as you pull in, is a very convenient thing. But what about those pesky, ugly remotes? They are supposed to stay clipped to your visor. But they may end up falling off onto the floor. Or they lay around in your cup holder, just getting in your way. Not to mention changing those batteries! Of course, they tend to go dead at the most inconvenient times!
A Girard, PA customer was in this very situation. He was tired of searching for his remote garage opener. So, he conveyed those frustrations to his Buick salesman. Because the salesman wanted to take care of his customer’s needs as best as possible, Ron contacted our Tony Horton for advice on a Buick Homelink on a 2020 Encore! After discussing the issue and gathering some vehicle information, Tony recommended the option of installing a Homelink Bezel Kit. This Homelink kit would mount cleanly and perfectly in the Buick’s map light area, between the two front seats. It allows for programming up to THREE garage doors to control! After being installed into the vehicle, there would be no more clunky remotes and no batteries to change. The Homelink kit also comes with different colored bezels to match the vehicle’s interior. This sounded like a perfect solution to Ron!

Tony scheduled the vehicle for a 4-hour morning appointment. Ken Whiteman, one of our skilled and MECP Certified technicians, was up to the task! The bezel fit perfectly in that location, as Tony expected! The black trim bezel was selected, it is a great match with the factory black Onstar controls and dome light switch. The installation went smoothly, and was completed by lunchtime. Ron can now retrieve the vehicle, deliver it to his customer, and program those garage doors for him…all before the end of the day.
