In December 2017, a client from Union City, PA, got her husband an ENORMIS Mobile Specialties gift card for the safety and convenience of a rear camera install on a 2014 F-150 STX. That’s a nice gift!
After the holidays, the owner of this 2014 F-150 came to ENORMIS to claim his rear camera installation, but he wanted more than just a rear camera. He asked if ENORMIS could install a Ford OE brake controller and have it display information on the dash just like it would have come from the Ford factory.
The guys at ENORMIS did not have to think long about that one. Of course ENORMIS can install Ford parts and have them perform just like the vehicle was designed from the assembly line! Some people think you can just order some Ford parts and plug them in, but it’s not that easy. The F-150 BCM has to be programmed to accept any new devices on the network. ENORMIS has the Ford computer and was able to set up the Ford brake controller.
What about the rear camera system? Oh, yeah, we almost forgot. ENORMIS replaced the stock Ford mirror with an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Not only does this mirror darken when bright lights approach the truck from the rear, but it can also display what’s hidden behind the truck. Talk about safety. When the truck is shifted into reverse, a 3.5″ monitor magically displays the image of what is behind the truck. We also installed a small, OE-style tailgate handle camera high on the tailgate. This camera has a great view of the rear bumper and hitch, and anything that could be behind the truck.
Whew, never thought we would get all of this out.
