North East Client Gets Honda Ridgeline Lighting & Convenience Upgrades

Paul, a repeat client from North East, recently contacted ENORMIS Mobile Specialties to inquire about upgrading a few features on his 2017 Honda Ridgeline RT. The vehicle came well-equipped but didn’t have an external temperature display. Paul wanted a thermometer and was hoping for a solution that would also let him get rid of the garage door opener on his sun visor. After dropping by the store and meeting with our Integration Specialist, Doug Reichert, we suggested that an upgraded rear-view mirror would give him the features he wanted.

While at our shop, Paul asked about adding fog lights to his Ridgeline. Lighting upgrades are one of our specialties! We priced out a set of OEM Honda light assemblies and the associated costs to integrate them into the vehicle.

Aftermarket Rear-View Mirror Upgrade

The new mirror gave the client he features he was missing.

Now the client can see the temperature and direction he is traveling, in one place.

The new rear-view mirror includes the thermometer that Paul wanted, as well as a compass. Unlike the mechanical dimmer functionality on the factory mirror, the new unit dims automatically. The new mirror also includes three HomeLink buttons, which can be programmed to most garage door openers quickly and easily.

We assigned Art Dougan, one of our MECP-certified technicians, to the task of integrating the mirror into the vehicle. Art mounted the mirror to the windshield and proceeded to run the required wiring through the vehicle and make the necessary electrical connections.

Honda Ridgeline Fog Light Retrofit

The Ridgeline came to us missing foglights.

By ordering a factory light, were were ensured factory quality fit.

Thanks to the clever wiring, the fog lights work just like the factory-installed units.

To complete the fog light installation an upgraded stalk was installed that featured fog light control.

The foglight upgrade enhances the safety and cosmetics of the Ridgeline.

After installation we made sure the fog lights were properly aimed.

The fog lights we ordered for Paul are found on some of the higher trim-level versions of the Ridgeline. Art mounted the lights in the factory locations and used the appropriate wiring, along with a few relays to make the lights work just as though they had been installed on the assembly line. Art upgraded the light control stalk to one with a fog light switch and programmed the vehicle to understand the new commands. The green fog light indicator on the dash even lights up when the lights are on.

Paul returned to ENORMIS Mobile Specialties the following day to pick up his vehicle. We showed him how the compass worked and demonstrated Art’s fog light integration. Paul was thrilled with the work and craftsmanship.
