When back in town, John called the store and spoke with Doug Reichert about the possibility of adding power door locks and remotes to his 2019 Frontier. Doug said, “Sure we can!” and then asked John for the VIN to start looking up the correct parts.
Doug called John back the same day with a quote for adding the Nissan factory power door lock actuators to the vehicle and a reliable aftermarket keyless entry system. There are benefits of adding the OEM Genuine Nissan door lock actuators: reliability, and in the rare instance of a failure, having it replaced at any Nissan dealer. Even a Florida dealer!
Doug and John set up a date for installation and we tasked MECP-certified technician Ken Whiteman with the upgrade. Ken first installed the power door lock actuators in the doors, and then created custom wiring harnesses from the body of the vehicle into the doors to supply power to the door lock actuators. After the wiring and actuator installation, Ken installed the keyless entry module and programmed the remotes. The entire job was about a half-day process. John went to breakfast and did some shopping, then picked up the Nissan later that afternoon.
