Emily, a Wesleyville business owner and repeat ENORMIS Mobile Specialties customer, came into the store looking for a Christmas gift for her son. Her son had just purchased a 2018 Hyundai Accent and would soon return home to Erie from his military deployment. Emily wanted to get her son a remote start because he was coming back home from South Carolina and knew he wouldn’t be used to the cold Erie winters.
Emily, who only deals with our Integration Specialist Doug Reichert, explained that she loves the cellphone app remote start that came with her 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and wanted the same thing for her son. Doug researched her son’s vehicle and said, “Sure we can.”
Doug and Emily settled on a date for the remote start installation. When Emily dropped off the Hyundai, she and Doug decided that her best choice for a remote start would be the Drone Mobile Smartphone App with the factory key as a remote start back-up. This allows Emily’s son to start the vehicle by pressing the Lock button three times short-range and to start the vehicle from anywhere using the Drone Mobile App on his phone.
When Emily and her son came to pick up the vehicle, Doug demonstrated the remote start and registered the smartphone APP. We used Drone’s new LTE-enabled module, which offers lightning-fast response. — so much so that it outperforms Emily’s Hyundai factory-installed remote start app.
