She already had a factory 2019 Honda CRV remote start. But, Melissa works in a hospital. So, the range and interference is a huge problem. Melissa wanted to be able to remote start her vehicle at work.
2019 CRV Remote Start has limitations
Melissa, a Clymer, NY, resident, recently purchased a new Honda. This 2019 CRV had a factory Honda remote start. The problem is, Melissa had to leave the hospital. Then, walk to the parking garage. Finally, she had to get on the same floor as the CRV! All of this, before she could remote start it! Not only that but, the Honda remote start also only warms the car for 10 minutes. Ice and snow does not melt in 10 minutes.
Melissa called ENORMIS and spoke with Doug Reichert. Doug is our integration specialist. Melissa wanted to extend extend the range of the factory 2019 CRV Remote Start. Doug explained, that we could install a Honda CRV-specific remote start with smartphone control. The range would be unlimited! This remote start also features Honda Proprietary wiring. Melissa liked the sound of the vehicle-specific wiring. That wiring will allow for a completely seamless and integrated installation.
Smartphone Hardware and App installed for unlimited range
Melissa scheduled the remote start installation for her next day off. After that, MECP-certified technician Art Dougan performed the installation of the Honda-specific remote start. Art used the vehicle-specific wiring and hardware to install the remote start around the factory remote start system. The Honda remote start was not disabled. Once the remote start was installed, we could then pair Melissa’s smartphone using the Dronemobile app.
Melissa came to pick the vehicle up that Monday afternoon. Then, Doug registered her DroneMobile account with her smartphone. He also, demonstrated the features of the vehicle-specific remote start. These features included, proximity lock and unlock from the door handles and our extended runtime to help melt the ice. Also, the engine will stay running when Melissa opens the driver’s door!
